Have you ever met a celebrity?
A few months ago, while discussing my latest escapades around NYC at work, it occurred to me that I have met a lot of celebrities. My stories, while teetering on the brink of showing off, have a way of making coworkers and friends interested, whether it’s just living vicariously through me or knowing that, as the old adage says, famous people really are just people with amazing jobs. Now what good is learning this if one can’t share that knowledge? So I am here to announce, that I have decided to start work on my book entitled
Following With Love: The Life and Times of a Fan-Girl.
Now my hope is for this book to have a “coffee-table” feel to it; photos, quick tid-bits, even vocabulary. But I’m not naive. I know that people are not going to want to sit around and read all about me. So that is where you come in. I would like those who have met a celebrity (at any point in your life) to send me your story. Either a quick narrative or a list (who, what where, when, and how did it go) along with any photo/autograph (scanned in, preferably) you would like to share, alone with your name and city, can be sent to followingwithlove@yahoo.com
Again, naivety is not a forte of mine, I know that this is a far-fetched idea (a book that basically is how-to guide to “stalking”*) but it’s something I’d like to try and I think there’s a market for it. But I can’t do it without you. So it’s time to put away your modesty and shout from the roof tops that you are a fan-girl/boy and you are proud!
And don’t forget to spread the word. Reblog… Facebook your buddies… Tweet it… I want as many stories as I can get.
*I use quotation marks around the word “stalking” because Websters define the term as “pursue or approach stealthily” and as you can tell, there is nothing “stealthy” about what I do.
